Too much spam on Android? This new Google Messages option will relieve you
They are certainly thirties and have lost their popularity, faced with instant messaging applications, but SMS remain a largely used means of communication. And in fact: the Google Messages application is installed on almost all Android terminals, allowing to send and receive messages created in this traditional format, but also to ship using the help of RCS protocol (Rich Communication Services), which allows the content to be enriched. But if it is indeed an unpleasant fact on a daily basis, it is these unwanted messages received untimely, which must be laboriously unsubscribed.
Facilitate the unsubscribe process
Google Messages takes the subject head on – or rather, continues to work to limit spam, many initiatives that have already been set up in the past. It is now a question of facilitating unsubscribe to diffusion lists to which you found yourself included without really knowledge, often when creating an account at a merchant.
As Android Authority The next generation, a new option now appears at the bottom of the messages received. Not just any: we are talking about RBM messages here (RCS Business Messages), in other words, messages shipped via distribution lists using the RCS protocol. This option shows a suggestion at the bottom of your screen, called Unsususcribe in English and Unsubscribe in French. When you click on it, a panel offering you to choose from several options (has not registered, receives too many messages, spam, etc.) is displayed. And above all, Google messages automatically takes care of sending the famous Stop message (which you can send by hand) allowing you to unsubscribe from these lists. In short, the function makes it possible to simplify the unsubscription process and more easily report unwanted messages.
Google confirms the deployment of the unsubscribe function facilitated to lists of RBM messages within Google Messages. If the option is available in the beta version of the application, it will soon be deployed in its consumer version on the French market.
