“Up to 3 hours of less autonomy”: One UI 7 seems to be of the endurance of certain Samsung Galaxy

The arrival of a new version of One UI is always scrutinized closely, and the 7.0 is no exception. If it brings its share of new features, and in particular to boost the autonomy of your smartphoneit also seems to have introduced discomfort for some: greater energy consumption, affecting daily autonomy. The feedback evokes clear declines, sometimes several hours of active screen.
One UI 7.0: reduced autonomy on certain galaxy, according to testimonies
Several specialized colleagues, such as Android Authority,, 9TO5GOOGLE,, Sammy Fans Or the official forums of Samsung, confirm that complaints concerning a drop in autonomy after the one UI 7.0 update are very real and widely shared by the community.
Publications from forums, Reddit or Samsung community groups describe a fall in autonomy since the transition to one UI 7.0, particularly on recent high -end models such as Galaxy S24 Ultra,, S23 and some S22. The typical scenario? A autonomy that easily spent the day with one UI 6.1.1 would no longer allow to hold until evening, with sometimes a loss of 2 to 3 hours of screen time.

These complaints are not marginal, but they are not systematic either. Many devices seem spared, and our own internal tests have, at this stage, revealed any anomaly of significant autonomy. It is therefore possible that this problem only affects certain user profiles, or precise software configurations. Difficult to say, even if the relationships piled up.
Samsung, for the time being, has not recognized a generalized concern. The security correction expected in June could integrate energy optimizations, but no specific patch has yet been announced. A clearer improvement could happen with One UI 8.0, expected at the end of the year.
