Water leaks: the small connected case Konyks Osafe wants to avoid big damage

The Konyks brand, specializing in home automation and that we already know for its connected sockets or his smoke detectorshas just announced the sale of its Osafe case, a connected detector of water leaks and floods. The goal is to offer a device to prevent domestic water damage, whether leaks, infiltration or overflows.

Osafe is a small independent pebble box, equipped with sensors capable of detecting the presence of water on the ground. When a leak is spotted, an alert is sent immediately to the device linked to the device. As with smoke detectors, a sound alarm (75 dB 3 meters) is also triggered.

The user can thus be informed remotely, including in the event of absence during holidays or trips. The objective is to allow rapid intervention to avoid material damage in the home.

The detector is designed to be placed under or close to risk equipment: washing machine, dishwasher, water heater, pipes, toilets or freezers. It works without dedicated gateway, via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth pairing.

The installation is carried out from the Konyks mobile app. OSAFE is also compatible with home automation platforms Tuya Smart and Smartlife, which allows its integration into existing installations. It can thus be associated with other connected equipment.

OSAFE works with a lithium battery CR123A (provided). The announced autonomy is three years. An alert is sent when the battery reaches a weak threshold. The product is IP67 certified. The detector is offered at a price of 29.90 euros. It is available for sale today, especially on Amazon.
