We no longer believed it: OnePlus thinks of small wrists with the new edition of his Watch 3

The watch had been formalized in June, probably so that it does not go unnoticed, in the middle of a crowd of announcements (including two smartphones, the North 5 and North CE 5). There Watch 3 of OnePlusin the imposing 47 mm format, is now available a compact variation.

Here is the Watch 3 43 mm, which is not hidden to aim for a female audience, largely left aside by its imposing classic Watch tested by Digital. The tocante that we had in my hands wore a 47.6 x 46.6 x 11.8 mm box, where the new model has a diagonal of 43.2 mm for 11 mm thick. Smaller, this case is also lighter, since it does not exceed 37.8 grams, 24 % less than the standard model. This should be appreciable on a daily basis.

Despite this reduced format, the display space remains comfortable: the watch presents an Amoled screen of 1.32 inch (1.5 ”for the standard model) integrated into a stainless steel case. The double architecture specific to the latest OnePlus watches is always at work (two chips, two operating systems, but only Wear OS visible on a daily basis), which allows the brand to announce a high autonomy for a product: is a question of 60 hours of use in standard mode, and 7 days in energy savings mode, with a 345 mAh battery. Sleep, without forgetting sport, with a running assistant and automatic detection of half a dozen activities.

Compactness is not synonymous with truly reduced prices. The Watch 3 43 mm is announced at a price of € 229, € 70 less than the classic Watch 3. It is available from July 8.
