A series that promises to scare

The least we can say in front of the first images of It: Welcome to Derryis that the series of Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs should stick our chocottes well. Between the inhabitants of Derry with smiles as scary as in Smile And the kids confronted with their worst nightmares, there is something to have cold sweats in front of this series inspired by the work of Stephen King.

The story takes place in 1962, 27 years before the events of the two films That Made by Andy Muschietti. The first season of the series thus returns to the last time that Monfli-Sou ravied in Derry before attacking the Professional Club.

It: Welcome to Derry inspires interludes from the novel That from King. The latter present themselves as extracts from Mike Hanlon’s Journal relating his research on the history of Derry to understand the origins of the diabolical clown.

“In Welcome to Derry, we send themes common to the film – friendship, loss, power of unified belief – but this story also focuses on the use of fear as a weapon, something that is also relevant to our time,” said Andy and Barbara Muschietti toEntertainment Weekly.
