Windows 10 key to an end, and Microsoft accelerates on AI with functions exclusive to certain PCs

To accompany the release of the new Pro 12 surfaces and surface laptop 13, Microsoft has decided to communicate in detail on the new software in development for Windows 11. The new features to come for Copilot+ PCs

Let’s start with the exclusives of Copilot+, which will come to test next month. First of all, looking for something in the settings will now be simpler thanks to the addition of an agent boosted by AI. It will be enough to describe a problem to be suggested by the appropriate options. Let us note that only English will be supported at first, but that the functionality, for the moment limited to Snapdragon PCs, will then arrive on the PC Amd and Intel.

Then, the click to do productivity feature will be enriched with new actions. Microsoft gives the following examples: “You can use “Click to do” to request a reading coach and train yourself to read a selected text aloud, or use the immersive reader to improve your reading experience. You can even use “click to do” to quickly plan a meeting or launch a conversation in Microsoft Teams from a recognized email, without interrupting your work, or even send the details of a table to the screen directly to Microsoft Excel, which will save you time and simplify your work.“”

Still for insiders next month, the search for Windows 11 will be able to find Windows settings and applications from the Microsoft Store, while search in the Photos Application can find photos from its collection.

Finally, photo, paint and screenshot applications will gain features thanks to AI. In terms of photos, a dynamic lighting addition feature (which will arrive secondly on conventional PCs) will improve the quality of its shots by adding up to three customizable light sources.

For the venerable paint, Microsoft will add a sticker generator from a prompt textual, as well as a selector of objects to boost publishing possibilities.
