Windows 11: Before update 25h2, the 24h2 did not say its last word with these new features

In a few weeks, Microsoft will deploy the major annual update 25h2 for Windows 11. While more testers can have been trying there for a handful of days, this new important version of the operating system should above all activate features already downloaded as you go, but not installed, via the previous updates of Windows 11. This is particularly the case for the KB5064081 update for Windows 11 24H2, deployed this August 29 in Windows Update.

The list of changes there is long, while Microsoft specifies that the deployment of most new products and changes will be progressive. If you do not see everything that is listed below now, it is therefore normal and you will potentially have to wait for the 25h2 update to take advantage of everything.

What news for Windows 24H2 before update 25h2?

Microsoft first improves some of its tools powered by AI, such as Click To Do and Recall. The first now offers a tutorial during its first launch, while the second has a new personalized home page to find recent activities more easily.

On the side of the taskbar, the seconds can again be displayed in the clock and the search displays the results better. The locking screen also improves with new options around widgets and personalization.

Some interface elements have also been improved on the side of the file explorer and Windows Hello. In the latest case, Microsoft promises a redesigned and modernized interface. The task manager now uses standard metrics to display the processor’s workload in a consistent manner on all pages.
