Microsoft has just deployed a big update for Xbox, on console, PC and mobile. Several important innovations are in testing or already available: Iacopilot to assist you in play, a unified library to collect all your titles on PC, and improvements on the interface, cloud gaming and accessibility. The objective is clear: centralize everything, simplify and make the Xbox experience more fluid, whatever the medium.

An integrated AI to coach you live

The June update is not a simple fix or a lot of technical adjustments: it draws a much smarter, reactive and interconnected Xbox. In the window, a certain Copilot for Gaming, digital assistant integrated into the Xbox application on mobile (iOS and Android), thought as a kind of digital teammate.

The idea? Help you play better, faster, and never leave the game. In the middle of a game, you can ask him for advice, tips, or even explanatory videos. The preview is already accessible, and the final version is expected on the Rog Ally portable consoles for the holidays.

A really unified game library on PC

But Microsoft does not stop there. On the PC side, the Xbox application finally receives what the players claimed: a unified game library. It centralizes your titles from the Game Pass, Battle.net, and other partner platforms, including Steam. No need to juggle between launchers: everything is in the same place. A welcome promise of simplicity, especially on hybrid or portable machines such as the ROG Ally X.

Complete deployment expected in the winter of 2025 on PC and Xbox portables (ROG Ally included).

A more fluid experience on console … and in the cloud

On console, the improvements are more discreet but well felt. The reception becomes customizable: possibility of pinning your favorite games, hiding the system apps, or reducing the number of tiles displayed.

The home screen becomes more flexible: pin your games, hide the system apps, and adjust the display according to your preferences.

Free games associated with the Game Pass also gain visibility with simplified access to exclusive bonuses (skins, money, content). The Game Hubs, on the other hand, now integrate all the useful information (success, online friends, recent captures) with more direct access to the “Play” button.

Another major novelty: the arrival of Game Assist, the EDGE browser integrated into the Game Bar, which allows you to consult tips, discord or Twitch without leaving the game.

The Game Bar now welcomes an integrated browser: perfect for following a tutorial, a stream or chatting on Discord without leaving the game.

And that’s not all. More than 200 games are now compatible with the “Stream Your Own Game” function on Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the Retro Classics collection is enriched with nuggets straight from the 80s and 90s, as part of a partnership with Antstream Arcade.

Finally, the promise of the Play AnyWhere is strengthening. In May, more than 30 games joined this program, allowing a transparent transition between console, PC and portable devices, with unified backup and progression.

Difficult to find it as many announcements. To see clearly, here is all that Xbox has just formalized in its June 2025 update:

  • Copilot for gaming available in preview on mobile (iOS/Android)
  • Launch planned on Rog Ally for Copilot at the end of the year
  • Association library on the Xbox PC (Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net app, etc.)
