
Xiaomi yu7: It’s a box, reservations panic for this electric SUV at shock prices

Xiaomi continues. After SU7the brand launched the YU7 on June 26, 2025 during a digital event, with a deposit of 5,000 yuan (around € 594) to book. Result: 200,000 pre -orders in three minutes, 289,000 in an hour. A dazzling start which confirms the appetite for the Chinese market for the manufacturer’s electrical ambitions.
Xiaomi Yu7: a massive electric SUV, already acclaimed in China
Xiaomi did not drag to capitalize on the success of its SU7. Barely a year after launching his first sedan, The company reveals its yu7, an electric SUV with generous dimensions (4.99 meters long) which already exceeds, on paper, a good number of references of the segment, Tesla Model y in mind. And it’s not just a story of size: on the technical side, the yu7 sends heavy.
Lithium-Fer-Phosphate (LFP) battery of 96.3 kWh, 235 kW electric motor (319 horsepower), maximum torque of 500 Nm and estimated autonomy at 800 km CLTC. On the recharge side, the YU7 has an 800 volts architecture, allowing to go from 10 to 80 % in 12 minutes on an ultra-fast compatible terminal.
Xiaomi clearly relies on accessible performance: 253,500 yuan for the basic version, or around 30,161 euros – a price that could easily double in Europe once the taxes, standards and margins have been applied. And advanced figures impress: 289,000 orders in one hour, according to Xiaomi. Better still: each client had to pay a deposit of 5,000 yuan (around 594 euros), proof that the craze is not limited to a few enthusiastic clicks.
What about our old continent? The Xiaomi Yu7 is expected in Europe by 2027, with a probable marketing in France, but at a much higher rate than that displayed in China, of course.
