You will no longer use Google translation as before thanks to AI
With the advent of AI, it is not surprising to see Google regularly improve its Google Translation service. At the end of August 2025, as often it was the Android media Authority which dissected the future V9.15.114 version to discover many modifications to come, normally, in the consumer version.
The translation will never be the same again: Google takes out heavy artillery with AI and Gemini
As the capture before/after below shows, some first changes are obvious. The microphone button is more discreet and shifts slightly, at the same level as the stick button, moved downwards. A clearer line under the translation brings together the buttons Conversation became Live Translate (Live translation), the camera and the button Practice (Training).

This last mode currently in beta should tackle Duolingo by offering users to train to practice a language via lessons. These would be personalized, and it would also be possible to create your own.

Finally, a new drop -down menu appears to choose between two translation modes: Fast (Fast) and Advanced (Advance). Also offered on the result page, this drop -down menu allows you to choose an optimized translation for speed and efficiency, or something more precise thanks to Gemini.

According to Android Authority tests, for the moment the advanced mode only supports three languages: English, Spanish and French. As for mode Practiceonly these pairs of translations work: English to Spanish, English to French, French to English and Spanish to English.
Google must still have a lot of work to be killed so that these features propelled by IA arrive in the general public version of Google Translation, especially since the firm did not officially communicate about it.
