Now, the gaming platform notifies players when a game is at a lower price as a bundle than when purchased individually. On Reddit, a user shows a concrete example of this new system.

Steam alerts when a game is cheaper in bundle
The player added Unrailed 2: Back on Track in his basket, a cooperative railway construction game. Steam then warned him that it was possible to obtain the title at an advantageous price via the bundle Unrailed Collection. The alert is displayed before the basket is validated, which gives time to modify your order.
The bundle system on Steam is very interesting for players who already have certain titles from a compilation. The platform automatically deducts the price of games already in the library from the total amount of the bundle.
In some cases, buying a bundle is therefore cheaper than acquiring a game alone, even if the player already has some of the content. In short, the community will save a lot more with this new feature.
Please note that this functionality only concerns bundles and not packages. Unlike bundles, packages have a fixed price that does not vary depending on the games already in the library.
Valve continues in its philosophy of good deals and other savings. Even though, between us, most gamers have dozens, if not hundreds of games in their library that they have never launched.
All it takes is a good deal during promotions or interesting bundles to fall in love and check out. So with this new system, Valve has the idea of pushing even more for purchases to fill its already well-stocked coffers. It doesn’t matter whether you launch the purchased games or not.
