Disney+ new features: series and films not to be missed in May 2025

After a starting year in charge of thrilling new features of the new season of Brief by going through the return of Daredevil and the last chapter of the adventures ofAndorDisney+ welcomes the month of May 2025 with a tad a little quieter than those of Netflix,, Video premium or Maxbut no less exciting.

Between a slew of documentaries, a new detour by the distant Galaxy of Star Wars and the arrival of one of the most successful science fiction thrillers of 2024, subscribers to the streaming platform will have far enough to take care of this month.

Before unveiling the list of new features Disney+ In this month of May, here we are the film and the series of the month on service.

The movie of the month

Alien: Romulus

A team of young spaces in Espace explores the depths of an abandoned space station. This is where they are confronted with the most terrifying creatures in the universe.

Alien: Romulus is simply the best component of the franchise since Aliens by James Cameron. Whatever its few faults, the film is the rebirth of the franchise as we had dreamed of it and conquered our hearts of fan thanks to its crazy beauty, its excellent ideas and its uninterrupted tension. The xenomorph is indeed back, and this new opus will appeal as much to fans of the first hour as to neophytes.

The series of the month

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld

Immerse yourself in the perilous shallows of the galaxy according to the six episodes of this series which tells the adventures of two famous bad guys. Former assassin and premium hunter, Asajj Ventress receives a second chance when she fled with a new unexpected ally, while the Gangster Cad Bane is caught up in his past when he finds himself confronted with an old friend who became Marshal.

This new anthology of animation is part of the same vein as the celebrations Tales of the Jedireleased in 2022, and Tales of the Empirereleased in 2024. Once again created, produced and produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian,, Ahsoka), the series is centered on Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, which the fans were able previously to see in Star Wars: The Clone Wars And Bad batch for Ventress, and in Star Wars: Rebels And Boba Fett’s book For Bane.

From May 4 on Disney+.
