OnePlus is preparing the arrival of 13T, a new model that takes the opposite of the ever larger terminals. Nicknamed Small-Screen Powerhouse By the brand, it promises performance worthy of a premium model, while targeting an audience tired of large formats.
Unlike OnePlus 13which displays a large 6.82 inch screen, the 13T would have a more modest 6.3 -inch panel, to seduce compactness lovers. But there is no question of compromising on power: the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (one of the most efficient on the market) would be good.
Promising technical characteristics
According to several leaks, the OnePlus 13T would take high -flying components:
- Screen : AMOLED 1.5K 6.31 inches
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage : 512 GB
- Battery : 6200 mAh, with fast load 80 W
The device would also have an optical fingerprint sensor under the screen, as well as an improved cooling system, to avoid overheating. On the performance side, a score of more than 3 million points on Antutu (performance test platform) was mentioned, a very promising result.
An innovative battery, thought to last
But it is especially in the field of autonomy that this model could surprise. Despite its reduced size, the 13T would embark an accumulator of 6200 mAh, a capacity greater than that of the OnePlus 13. This performance would be made possible thanks to a new technology called Glacier Battery, developed with Catl, a giant in the sector.
It would have been designed to avoid overheating and maintain constant performance, even during load or long game sessions. A specific power supply system would also be integrated to directly supply the device when connected, thus limiting the heating and preserving the battery.
A premium design and an intelligent button
On the design side, the OnePlus 13T does not do things by half: metal frame, glass back, and a neat finish are on the program. Louis Lee, president of OnePlus China, also announced on Weibo The end of the famous alert Slider (notification switch present on old models), in favor of a customizable button. This new button can be configured according to user preferences, like the action button for the latest iPhones.
A versatile photo module
Even if the information remains to be confirmed, the photo part would be made up of a main sensor of 50 megapixels with optical stabilization (OIS), associated with a telephoto lens of the same resolution with an X2 optical zoom. An ultra-angle of 8 Mpx could complete the whole. What offer a complete photo experience, even if the objective here seems to be more the power and compactness than the photographic revolution.
Price and availability
The official launch is expected for April 2025, but only in China at first. No announcements were made for an international outing when we write these lines.
On the price side, estimates are around 550 dollars, between 600 and 800 euros if the model arrives in France. A tariff positioning that would place him in the face of competitors such as the Galaxy S25 and the Pixel 9.
